Governor Makinde Visits Ladoja, Confirms Him As Next Olubadan Of Ibadan

The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has confirmed that Oba Rasidi Ladoja is set to be installed as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Governor Makinde also confirmed that Ladoja will be installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Naija News reports that the approval of Ladoja’s nomination and coronation date was disclosed during Makinde’s visit to Oba Ladoja at his Bodija residence on Wednesday.
Ladoja had previously, while addressing his well-wishers and the newsmen shortly after his arrival in Ibadan, hinted that he would be meeting with the state governor, Oluwo and Araba to facilitate his installation process, which, according to him, is coincidental.
The former Governor stated that it was coincidental that he was born in 1944 and would be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Also, the governor’s approved date is also a coincidence, as it will be coming a day after his 81st birthday celebration.
During the visit, Governor Makinde also announced the former Chairman of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigene, Chief Bayo Oyero, as the Chairman of the Coronation Committee.
The list of other committee members has not been made public at the time of filing the report.
